If the screen is enlarged on your device inhibiting the full screen to display, please look at the following settings on your Chromebook:
Screen Magnifier – This makes everything bigger and the screen scrolls around to make things fit. Here is how you can turn the magnifier off:
1. Click on the small menu with the clock on it in the bottom, right-hand corner of the screen
2. Click “Settings”
3. In the settings menu, scroll to the bottom and click “Show advanced settings…”
4. Scroll to the bottom again to find the “Accessibility Options” and ensure the box next to “Enable Screen Magnifier” is not checked
5. If the magnifier was on and you disabled it, the screen should now appear smaller than it did before.
Screen Resolution – This makes everything look like it is bigger and is trying to be squished onto a smaller screen. To change the screen resolution, follow these steps:
1. Click on the small menu with the clock on it in the bottom, right-hand corner of the screen
2. Click “Settings”
3. On the screen that comes up, click the button that says “Display settings”
4. On the menu that comes up, click the dropdown next to “Resolution” and choose an option with lower numbers than the current option.
5. To reset the Chromebook screen back to its normal size simply choose the option with the “(Best)” next to it.
Screen is Zoomed In – This makes the screen look like the issue happening with screen resolution images. To check this, follow these steps:
1. Open your Chrome Browser
2. Press “CTRL” and hold it
3. Press “-“ to zoom out (press “+” to zoom in)
