Locking and unlocking Units will ensure your students have access only to the Units you wish for them to work with. We recommend keeping your entire class on the same Unit in correlation with what you are teaching in the classroom. Additionally, we recommend that Units are not unlocked until the first phonics lesson has been taught in the corresponding Unit.
UNLOCKING UNITS:
- Log in to your Teacher Dashboard and navigate to a specific class Class Dashboard page. Click on the “Select” Unit drop-down in the Class Progress widget. Then select the unit you wish to manage.
- Click the “Manage Unit” button in the right corner of the Class Progress widget.
3. A pop-up will appear. Select the students for which you wish to unlock this Unit. Click Save.
LOCKING UNITS:
- Log in to your Teacher Dashboard and navigate to specific class Class Dashboard page. Click on the “Select” Unit drop-down in the Class Progress widget. Then select the Unit you wish to manage.
2. Click the “Manage Unit” button in the right corner of the Class Progress widget.
3. A pop-up will appear. Deselect the students for which you wish to lock this Unit. Once you click “Save”, the students deselected will no longer have access to this Unit’s games on the Student Dashboard.
Please note that when you Unlock or Lock a Unit in the Reading Playground, the corresponding Unit will automatically be Unlocked in the Vocabulary Playground and vice versa.
