Troubleshooting: Clear Cache and Whitelisting for Really Great Reading's Online Tools (Teacher Presentation Tools/Online Components)

Sometimes, we see that teachers have issues accessing the Teacher Presentation Tools/online components if they are using a bookmarked link instead of going directly to our website (www.reallygreatreading.com). Please have the teachers clear their cache one more time and then ensure they go directly to our website to log in. We suggest using a different browser. Below are instructions for clearing the Browsing History.

How to Clear Your Browsing History

  1. Open Chrome
  1. At the top right corner of the browser, click the three vertical dots
  1. Scroll to More Tools.
  1. Click Clear browsing data
  1. From the drop-down menu, select All Time
  1. The top 4 boxes should be checked **· We suggest NOT checking the bottom 4 boxes**
  1. Click Clear browsing data.

Also, we have included instructions below regarding whitelisting all our URLs. To ensure you will be able to access all of the content in Really Great Reading’s website, please be sure to reach out to your district-level IT Tech department, or have someone in your school reach out to them, and give the information found in the remaining steps.

* For the successful implementation of Really Great Reading’s digital products, please whitelist the following URLs:

* Please note: When whitelisting, it is necessary to include the “*” symbol. These are wildcards that will allow anything before or after the symbol to be accepted as one of the approved URLs. This will help keep Really Great Reading’s various sites and media from being blocked.

What is an email whitelist? This simply means you add the above websites to your trusted and approved senders/receiver list. This tells your email client that you know this sender and trust them, which keeps emails out of your spam/ junk folder, and allows us to support you efficiently. Please contact your school's IT department to get help with whitelisting.
